Located in northern Indiana between the cities of Elkhart and Goshen is
Concord Township. For over 54 years, the Township utilized an
independent community volunteer fire department that served and
protected the community. Started in 1952, the department grew from a
single truck to ten vehicles that offered complete fire, rescue, and
medical services.
Beginning in January 2006, Concord Township took over responsibility for
operating the department as a government entity. With two new stations
and a new chief, the department is moving ahead in continuing to provide
the community with the very best service and protection possible.
