APPARATUS

Ask any child what makes being a fireman so special and theyıll say it's the trucks. Fire trucks are definitely cool but they are specially built to provide firemen with all they need to effectively fight a fire, free someone out of a wrecked car, or respond to nearly any emergency.

Concord Township has had a number of pieces of apparatus in it's 50 years. We now have four dedicated engines and several pieces of backup equipment including a tanker , rescue unit, and two ambulances. As the needs of our community grow and equipment ages, we will be adding additional units. Hopefully, in 2005, we will replace our aging rescue truck and at least one of our ambulances with new units.

Medical service began in 1994 with a single ambulance. The department now supplies Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service with three medical units.
